Biography

Hitay Özbay received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) in 1985, the M.Eng degree in electrical engineering from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in control sciences and dynamical systems from the University of Minnesota, (Minneapolis, USA) in 1989.  He has been with The Ohio State University since January 1991.

Publications and Societies

Dr. Özbay has authored/co-authored many technical papers in the area of H-infinity control of infinite dimensional systems, and engineering applications of this theory. Click here for a list of publications (sorry it is not quite up to date).
He is a senior member of IEEE and its Control Systems Society. He was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control 1997-1999. He also served on the Board of Governors of IEEE Control Systems Society in 1999. He is an Associate Editor of Automatica.
