Printing the Internet-of-Things

The goal is to create printable IoT objects with full functionality (logic, memory RF Tx/Rx) along with energy scavanging from the environment. In addition, these IoT objects will be energy autonomous, scavenging energy from the environment (light, heat, RF, motion) and storing that energy locally in a non-toxic supercapacitor. A successful candidate should be able to interact with an interdisciplinary team. The researcher will synthesize new materials for IoT devices and help with their fabrication and testing.

Knowledge of some materials science and chemistry is preferred. Non-ECE majors are also quite welcome and even encouraged to apply, especially chemistry majors.

Only open to students studying at American universities. Position immediately available.
